Most Liked Positive Review

Fits application.

Much easier than sweating copper, the pex is forgiving and easy to fit into tight spaces.Sweat all the elbows onto the copper before using the pex or you will melt the pex!

Most Liked Negative Review

Poor flow

I ended up changing this out to a 90 degree copper and a straight pex connection. The flow was very restricted when I used this elbow. Be ware if you are plumbing a shower or a tub that requires strong flow.

Leaked

Sweat 6 of these on baseboard in a customer's home. Every one of them leaked. Cup size is too loose, very sloppy fit. Impossible to fill and make a solid joint with 95/5. Will never buy again. Cost me days of time frustration and my reputation.

Leaked

Cup size is too loose. Sweat 12 of these on baseboard in a customer's house, every single one leaked. Impossible to fill and make a seal with 95/5, I never have leaks on my solder joints. Cost me hours of frustration, call backs and tarnished reputation. Disappointed.

Little loose

I find all these pex to copper connections tend to be quite loose fitting on the copper side making sweating them from odd angles difficult. These are no exception but they work fine and the casting was smooth so no complaints otherwise

Great for turning whilst transitioning from copper to PEX

Ever tried adapting from copper to PEX but also want to point at a different angle? Well, this is the best fitting for it! Point up, down, left and even right with this easy to use transitioning fitting!

Product Q&A

ASK A QUESTION

Q: question below was not really answered as to wether the copper end was male or female. It addressed 3/4x3/4, this is 1/2. I assume from other answers, that a 1/2 copper pipe elbow means the copper end "acts as pipe" and goes into a fitting, whereas a 1/2 copper fitting elbow would "act as a fitting" and go over a piece of pipe? Or, do I have it reversed and the name is what it joins rather than what it acts like. But for this item, if i buy it, can I sweat it into a valve designed to have a piece of copper pipe sweated into it?

On the copper side, this fitting is 1/2". This means that standard type M or L copper tubing with fit inside of it. It likely would not work with the valve you described. You would probably need to sweat this elbow to a small piece of copper that is connected to the valve.

This 3/4" x 3/4" elbow will allow 3/4" copper pipe to fit inside its copper end.

With this elbow you make your connection to a copper pipe, with the part H120750 which can be found on our website here: http://www.pexsupply.com/HydroPEX-H120750-3-4-PEX-x-3-4-Copper-Fitting-Brass-Elbow-4947000-p , you make the connection to a copper fitting.
