Great for maintaing flow

This is the only place I have been able to find this fitting. It works great for making repains in 1/2" coppem lines. 1/2" PEX has a much smaller Inner Diameter than 1/2" copper, and them the fitting that goes inside the PEX makes the orfice much smaller. If you use these adapters you can maintain the same flow as 1/2" copper.

Picture not representative of product

The picture shows that the 1/2" copper tubing would slide inside the displayed fitting. However the fitting is the same diameter as the 1/2" copper tubing. So to use this fitting on a 1/2" copper tubing, it will require the use of a copper tubing coupling. The fittings works but the picture is not what you are shipped.

REDESIGNED INCORRECTLY WILL NOT SOLDER IN

THE FITTING WAS REDESIGNED AND THEY ADDED A STOP FOR THE PEX SIDE WHICH WHEN FULLY INSERTED INTO THE COPPER FITTING PREVENTS ANY AREA IN WHICH TO APPLY THE SOLDER, THE STOP BLOCKS IT

Great Fitting

Nobody else has this type of adapter. They work great in all fittings. The gap they leave make it easy to solder and they won't fall inside like males. Ignore the reviews that don't understand the purpose.

Bluefin

Could not get this item to draw solder. I am not a fan of bluefin products. This was the only option so I took a chance.

Handy Fitting for Customization.

Very nifty way to adapt pipe terminations and valve ports to PEX circuit continuation. Fit intended nominal I.D. well and produced a strong joint. Highly advantageous to have on hand when transition from rigid pipe to thermoplastic tubing may be anticipated.

Q: Is the 3/4" PEX x 3/4" Copper Fitting Brass Adapter (Lead Free) made of dzr brass? or is it "zinc heavy"? I'm concerned with dezincification since I'm on well water.

This one looks like "STREET fitting" on the sweat side. So, it will fit inside the copper fitting or valve.

Q: what is the difference between 3/8" PEX x 1/2" Copper Pipe Brass Adapter model SKU: H023850 and SKU: H063850

Part H023850 connects 3/8" PEX to 1/2" copper pipe. It fits over the copper pipe. Part H063850 connects 3/8" PEX to a 1/2" copper fitting (which presumably would be connected to copper pipe on the other side). It goes inside the copper fitting, meaning that it is the same size as 1/2" copper pipe.

Q: It appears these connections get soldered to the copper pipe end before the Pex piping is attached. Is that correct?

One side of the adapter is attached to the PEX tubing by using the CLAMP or CRIMP tool. The other side goes inside the copper fitting and then onto the copper pipe. It does not get soldered onto the copper pipe.
