4" SpeediChannel Flex Joint (Natural)

I ordered this line, as I was expecting top-of-the-line quality. However, the price is too high for the quality I received. It's not water sealed. I'm sure it will leak rainwater inside over time. The zip connectors, to lock the lines inside broke during the first use, are made in very low quality.

This fitting is great in concept because it wraps around guttering and other things that traditional speedichannel cannot make its way around. For that reason I would give it a five star however within 2 to 3 years the entire fitting will be deteriorated exposing everything that was shielded by it due to UV light deterioration. In order to replace this fitting you would have to remove all of the refrigerant and all of the lines contain within all of the channel in order to slide a new fitting on it only to expect it to deteriorate in two years or three years again. I now have 4 cases on my installations and expect there to be more due to the volume of these fittings installed.

Not sure if there are different brands but I ordered replacement for the ones that fell apart in the sunlight. Ordered exact part number and upc code and got a product that was 10" shorter and a lot thinner.

Good product for tough situations...when your lines are not close to 90 degrees...this will get you along but...you have to split this piece yourself...it would have been great if it had been pre-split with screws to secure both halves...but it didn't. So...if you are careful...you can split the piece and then bind it together with some ties or whatever you have at hand..It does clean up your line set real nice. John

Used to connect soffit fitting to speed channel. Worked well. Other reviews claimed it was stiff and hard to work with, I was surprised at its flexibility. Did not need a heat gun to shape it as others had. It does need to be cut to fit over existing line set.

The flex joint was made well. It wasn't as fleible as I needed it to be. It is rather stiff. It could be fexible enough for slight bends.

Not the least bit flexible due to it's short length. Probably the only way to get it to bend would be with a hot air gun. The rest of this brands products were fine.

Use a heat gun to warm it up and get the bend you want. Once it's like you want simply use a box cutter and slit the back so you can slip it over the line set. I had to use 2 pieces to cover a long sweep, put a union in the middle. The rigid line set at either end and the union were screwed to the wall. This anchored the flex pieces just fine. Had to shorten the flanges to fit the union, box cutter again. Worked well on a long 70 deg. sweep.

Other pieces are two part. This flex piece is one part. Can not be install after refrigerant piping is in place. The fact that it is one piece is not clear. It is very inflexible, needs to be softened (a lot!).
