Small 7" ceiling grilles (with or without lights) can be easily positioned directly over showers, whirlpool tubs, steam showers, toilet or vanity. The fan motor is installed away from the living area for super quiet operation. UL Listed for wet locations. Grill housing fits between 2x8 construction.

Best setup ever

I have 2 bathrooms that I had bought the most expensive fans for at the hardware stores. This fan blows the others out of the water. You actually see the steam being sucked up in the vent. There is absolutely no escaping into the rest of the bathroom.

Fan tech pb370

The bathroom exhaust fan is excellent. Good quality for a good price. Have used fantech on 2 houses and would recommend this to others. That is 3 units installed without any problems

Quality Product, and best price I have found.

The project objectives were to eliminate all steam from master bath shower and try to resolve the mold that seems to occur. I decided to add a second vent over the toilet. I installed three way switches so the fan can be turned on and off from two locations depending on who wants or needs the fan. This fan pulls some serious 370CFM and eliminated all steam and toilet odor within seconds. Highly recommend.

Powerful, quiet, easy to install

Pulls lots of air, barely audible inside of the room being ventilated, grills are minimal and unobtrusive, and the install is super simple - just mount the bracket to any sturdy surface, and screw the bracket to the fan with the included self-tapping sheet metal screws, the connect power/neutral/ground to it via the controls of your choice. The only small nit I had was with the instructions. They don't make it very clear how you are supposed to mount the fan to the bracket. At first, the self-tapping screws seem like they could interfere with the rotating fan inside of the housing. I had to carefully reach inside of the fan body from each and and verify that, no, they would not interfere with anything. Also, in my case, I found it easier to mount the bracket to the fan and then screw the entire assembly to my chosen mounting location, the reverse of the recommended instructions. Just use a long extension on your drill/driver (I had a 12", IIRC) and drive the screws in at a small angle. When initially turned on, the fan does move a small amount due to the torque of the fan motor twisting against the small rubber vibration isolators on the base of the mounting bracket. Make sure there is some clearance around your chosen mounting location to account for this, as well as some slack in the final section of electrical cable where you connect it to the fan. The fan quickly settled down after the initial movement and after that it doesn't move around or vibrate while in use - the rotating assembly is well balanced. The rubber isolators are small but do a good job, i was a bit skeptical at first that they would be enough, but after installing and using the fan, they do the job quite well. My installation uses three ways to turn it on - a small line voltage humidistat, a cool-only line voltage thermostat, and and small line voltage remote control unit I found on Amazon. They are wired in parallel so any of them can turn on the fan if needed. It works great.

High Quality German Engineered Exhaust Fan

This thing is so quiet you can't tell if it's running. I had to special order 3-way switches with pilot light indicators to prevent us from leaving the fan running unnecessarily for days on end. This required an additional wire over my 12-3 but that wasn't a problem since it was for new construction. I simply ran an additional length of 12-2 between the switches. The pilot light 3-way switches aren't required but they sure saved me alot of headaches since it's near impossible to hear the Fantech run. I added a third drop to this fan so I could have two in the main bath with one over the shower, one over the toilet and one over the Jack & Jill sink in the adjacent powder room. It's an easy install for experienced professionals or homeowners but may be a little over the top for novices so be aware. Challenges I experienced... - Had to switch from 4" to 6" exhaust in the attic through my siding. This required enlarging the opening with a recipe saw that sounds easy but was challenging while perched atop a 20' extension ladder. - Exhaust vent box installation is straight forward but not so easy due to the unusually cramped spaces where they are installed. You need at least 8" or more clearance with a little extra room to work. - Had to ibstall new Romex runs end to end since these fans are installed farther away in the attic space. Although not required I chose to run 12-4 between the switches for the special order pilot light 3-way switches from Leviton that was not difficult but did require drywall work that added to the project. - You have to install the flexible duct very carefully to avoid distorting the aluminum housing that can result in the backflow dampers sticking. I had to go back finesse each duct connection multiple times until the dampers moved freely. Basically you can't jam the ducts on and tighten the screw clamps to moon and leave. After experiencing the quality performance I will not use anything but a Fantech if needed in the future.

Hi JJ'S, I can only tell you the fan is rated at 370 cfm and it has a all metal housing unlike some of the smaller less powerful units that use plastic for the housing. This is the third Fantech fan I have purchased and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quiet, powerful, well-built fan. This is the biggest unit I have installed, and even though the two intake duct runs are about 35' in length and the exhause run is about 10' the fan blows so hard the flapper on the side-wall exhaust is completely pushed to it's stops and the intakes will suck a paper towel out of your hand once you get within 4" or so. Hope that helps you. If you have any other questions, please shoot me an email and I will do my best to answer. Thanks, John Glass
