The Field RC is furnished as standard equipment on many leading brands of oil or coal-fired heating equipment. It is calibrated to allow for easy adjustment to the furnace or boiler manufacturer?s specifications. Designed for settings from .02" to .08", this control is so sensitive that instrumentation should be used when adjusting the unit during installation.

Q: Will this work with my coal stove? I just bought it and I will need to mount it horizontally in the 6" pipe leaving my stove. All of the other dampers I've seen the weight is designed to be vertical. Thanks

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffYes, this draft regulator may be used with a coal stove. It can be mounted in a horizontal configuration. The control is shipped for installation in a vertical flue. The adjustment weight should be in the right hand slot when you face the control. For horizontal flues, remove the weight from the right hand slot and attach it to the left hand slot.

I have mine mounted on a horizontal run of pipe 16 inches behind my coal furnace it seems to work fine but I am not an "expert".
