These bronze flanges are a must for potable water applications. Cast with quite a bit of material I would expect them to have flats or be hexated for ease of tightening with a wrench on the upper portion where you thread into it. Instead, they were just rounded which necessitates using a large pipe wrench on the oval outside of them to tighten them onto a threaded adapter or nipple. I have seen other brands with flats cast into them so wrenching on them is easier. There is no reason Grundfos couldn't have done the same here.

Will not fit UPS43-44BFC 3-Speed Bronze
Unfortunately, this will not fit UPS43-44BFC 3-Speed Bronze Circulator Pump by Grundfos. Grundfos literature says it will, but their published dimensions, and the actual pump I bought, say otherwise. Pump needs 3 7/16" center flange bolts, this set is at 3 5/32". Not PexSupply's fault, but aggravating nonetheless.
