Grundfos Pumps is proud to bring the comfort and savings of hot water recirculation to the existing homes market with the Comfort Series Instant Hot Water System. The Comfort System includes a Grundfos UP15-10SU7/TLC circulator and the revolutionary Comfort Valve. The stainless steel circulator, complete with timer and 10-foot power cord, is installed directly to the hot water discharge on the water heater. The Comfort Valve is installed under the sink at the fixture furthest from the water heater, and the system uses the existing cold water line to return hot water to the water heater.
The Comfort System is designed to give homeowners the added comfort and convenience of instant hot water and reduce the amount of wasted water. Unlike our competitor's products, there are no pumps under sinks (and thus no power required under sinks), no return lines required, and no buttons to push. Set the timer on the Grundfos pump and stop waiting for hot water.

Near instant got water
Added this to my new hot water heater and wow what a difference. Hot water within seconds. No more waiting for hot water. It was very easy to install on a new hot water heater. I could see a little difficulty with an existing water heater but not to bad. Very good price too.

Works somewhat
I purchased this system in an effort to have instant hot water at the kitchen sink without the use of an existing five gallon electric hot water tank. I wanted to eliminate the worry of a tank leaking on the hardwood floor.
The system will keep hot water at the first two sinks inside the house. I'm very pleased by the results for those two sinks. However, the main purpose for the purchase was to eliminate the electric tank under the kitchen sink and it doesn't look as if that is going to happen. I've had the system for three weeks and even changed out the thermostatic controlled valve under the sink and still don't have hot water at the kitchen sink. I still have to wait for the hot water to reach the kitchen sink. Therefore, when the dishwasher is used I have to stand at the kitchen sink and run the hot water until it warms up enough for the dishes to be cleaned.
It seem to me if Grundfos simply provided an adjustable thermostatically controlled valve the customer could dial in the temperature they wanted at the last sink therefore creating a perfect system.
I hope Grundfos reads this and fixed the problem. If I only had hot water at the kitchen sink I would be a happy camper.

Great product and SUPPLIER.
I used this pump in a dedicated hot water loop, with an isolatin valve and fill/drain valve on the supply side and also diaelectric unions on both sides of the pump for easy repair. The discharge side after the union has an isolation valve then a spring loaded check valve just before the actual connection to the cold water line feeding my indirect hot water tank. This pump performed exactly as I expected it to, I now have hot water instantly at all sinks in the loop. I have fine tuned the run times on the pump using the built in clock on the pump. Would recommend this pump and Supply House to anyone who wants to save water. It was delivered to my house in 2 days. Thank you Supply House.

This is my second purchase of this Grundfos Pump
This pump works great, is super easy to install and lasts a long time. My first one lasted over ten years. Having hard water here in the Phoenix area finally bogged down the impeller. I actually took it apart and cleaned it up and it ran just fine but I decided on a new one anyway.

Product is great. Only disappointment is that I had already ran a dedicated return line and called Supply House to get exactly what I needed. They recommended this one, although I really didn't need the under sink cold water return parts. I would think I paid quite a bit extra for an unnecissary part. Thought calling ahead to explain and ask for best part might have saved me from wasting money. 🤔

Furthest sink (now using the bridge valve) used to wait about 2 minutes for warm water; that went down to 1-2 *seconds* (no exaggeration). Pump is *very* quiet. Mine is on the same circuit as my garage door opener, with no overload problems.
The idea here is to create a continuous draw of hot water, but that's sent back via cold lines instead of lost down the drain (via a valve bridging the two). Note that it provides quick access to *warm* water, not instant hot. That's almost always want you want anyway -- not cold, and not scalding hot. The cold line is warmed a little as well, but I never require actual cold water. Another benefit to this is that both hot & cold pipes are very unlikely to freeze -- they always have at least warm water through them.
Components are simple, and installation was very easy. Inlet is std 3/4" FIP swivel, and outlet is std 3/4" MIP. The remote hot-cold bridge valve needed adapters in my case, and they were included. The control timer is mechanical, so not "smart", but then no worries about electrical spikes / surges / brown-outs damaging it. Timer is like a security timer -- manual on, manual off, auto. Don't need to run the pump to use the water heater; when it's off, water still goes through like it's not even there. Pump uses 110v, and has a 10 ft cord. No special installation; just plug it into a std outlet.
A lot cheaper than an under-sink tankless system I'd been considering, and the whole house benefits (esp in winter).

Q: I recently had one of these pumps installed on my hot water heater. We now get hot water to our master bath much faster however we also get very warm water out of our cold water faucets in two other bathrooms. Is this normal or do you think the installation was improper? Thanks.
