Most Liked Positive Review

Works well, totally silent.

So much quieter than the original Taco pump that was installed, more efficient too as it has modes (Temp offset & Auto) so it doesn't run 24/7. I'm using the Temp setting and it runs only when the water in the pump drops below a set point. I have a dedicated hot return line in my house so I don't need the Comfort Valve to pull the water back to the water heater through the cold side.

It does not work properly

The plumber is returning to review the installation and check for other possible problems. We replaced the check valve at the same time we replaced the original Grundfos. However, all evidence is that the unit is not working properly. I had a Grundfos unit that worked fine for over 9 1/2 years. I've tried the new unit in "Auto Adapt" mode and in "100%" mode and I am not getting hot water delivered as I had with my previous unit. I have not not contacted SupplyHouse as I wanted to have the plumber look at the unit first. This is a disappointment and a large unexpected cost from just replacing my original Grundfos.

Pump Worked Great

This new pump was a prefect replacement for the one that failed, and SupplyHouse was excellent for making the purchase! All aspects of the purchase met or exceeded my expectations!!!

Absoulutely!

I replaced an earlier model with a new one that fit the existing installed housing. This consistency over a number of years that allowed such a replacement is exemplary.

works alright

I liked my previous model 97525907 better because I could set the times that I wanted it to run. This model in auto mode is suppose to learn my patterns after a while so maybe in another couple of weeks it will do better. It seems to be doing better than the first week or two.

Efficient, quality pub[

This replacement recirculating pump takes a fraction of the power of old pump and is so quiet I can only tell it is running by feeling the warmth on the pipes.

The cold water problem is worse than before we started

Just had this expensive pump installed, replacing a NIBCO Justrite valve that had to go when we replaced the hot water tank. Three days in, we experience a much longer wait time for the water in our shower to get warm (up to 10 minutes), and then we get hot/cold/hot/cold at approx. one minute intervals during the shower. When I say hot, I mean the water now doesn't get past comfortably warm, even with the cold water faucet turned completely off. Is this part of the "Learning Period" on the automatic setting? Very uncomfortable!

I would buy this again

I was looking for a hard to find hot water pump. My old one was out obsolete. SupplyHouse advised me of status and assured I had the correct pump.

Good Product

Works as advertised, quiet, efficient. Wish it still had a manual timer however since the auto portion stops programming after 2 weeks and if you have a power blip, it won't reprogram for another 2 weeks

Product Q&A

ASK A QUESTION

Q: I am interested to find out how this pump gets triggered to turn on in auto mode if you install temp sensor on the hot water heater hot water output pipe which I would think stays pretty much the same temperature all the time. I am following Grundfos directions or pictogram of how to install it. I installed it the way they show but it seems to not work all the time. I would think you would need to sense the return water was getting colder. If anyone has any insight to how these pumps work and it's logic for cycling in auto mode, I would appreciate any info. Thank you!

The sensor needs to be on the hot water discharge to detect when there is flow for the auto mode to work properly. For the thermostat function, the pump compares the temperature on the sensor to the temperature on the pump, which should be on the return line. If the auto feature isn't working all the time, it may not have learned the habits of the consumer quite yet, or they might have gotten water at a time they never had before, in which case the pump would not have had hot water circulating.

Q: Are the sweat connections unions or sweat pipes into the pump? Are unions an extra cost?

The sweat connections are directly from pipe to pump. The union model is SKU 98420224.
