ALPHA2 15-55SF Stainless Steel Circulator Pump w/ Terminal Box

I've used Alpha2's for a few different applications. Most recently, I replaced a Taco 0010 on the boiler loop of a Weil McLain Ultra 155 boiler. The Alpha2 gives me a little more flow rate, but most importantly, it only uses 30% of the electricity and is whisper quiet. I've also used this pump on a radiant zone where I wanted to get more head pressure than you can get with a Taco 007. The Alpha2 provides about twice the head pressure. Finally, I replaced another 0010 that was the circulator for 7 radiant zones switched with zone valves. The quiet operation and low electricity usage are both significant benefits. With the Alpha2, you can't even tell when the zone pump is on, so there is no sound at all when the radiant zones are on.

This pump is perfect where you have two zones controlled by valves and want to ensure even heating fluid distribution depending on whether one or both zone valves are open. It's AutoAdapt Mode does what it says and it uses about half the energy of competing pumps. Shipping was fast and the pump is quiet. It does not come with insulation blocks, which are sadly only available to European customers at great shipping price to the US. Other than that, it's an excellent pump I expect will last decades.
