Needed these for my 1960 home. Company stopped making them over a yr ago with no plans to resume...took me 15 yrs to find someone who stocked them. Bought a case and used this style for return air also because they are sold out/discontinued. No surprise these are not as sturdy as originals and be warry they rust easily..my wet golden ret. loved to lay against them. Aside...there is no alternative...glad I got what I did.
look great and fit same as originals. Supply house rep was very helpful ...will buy from them again.

Not What I Thought it Would Be
Based on the drawings, I expected this product to have an opening in the back - which is what I needed. It does not. I will either have to return the item or get someone to cut an opening. Very disappointing.

Quality Control Lacking
I ordered two of these vent covers to replace two rusted ones for a customer. Both were below my expectations. Both had paint missing on the front covers on the corners. I had a dent on the front bottom. I was disappointed for the first time with Supply House.

I've bought and put H.and C. all through the house.
I have the four foot register's in the living room and three bed room's. I like the fact that I can use just half of them and divert the air around furniture. I have a 24 inch in the kitchen and am putting the latest 24 inch in the bathroom replacing an 18 inch register.

Took awhile to find this particular vent. The vent is show laid down in the photo though. It is a bottom fed vent. Ordered 2 a had them in 3 days.

Great replacement in an old house
I was happy to find an exact size replacement for the ancient baseboard diffusers in my house. A former tenant had sloppily painted over the old ones and they were barely functional. Once I pried the old ones out, these Hart & Cooley replacements went in easily. I will say that the finish isn't as hardy as I'd like -- some of them were chipped already and continued to chip as I installed them. Still worth it, though, and a massive improvement from the old ones.
