Contains 10 color-coded disposable test strips. Each one simultaneously checks level of propylene glycol and level of corrosion protection. Freeze protection levels and corrosion protection levels should be checked annually. Add additional cryo-tek product if freeze protection is inadequate. Add cryo-tek Universal Inhibitor if pH is below 8.5.

Cryo-Tek Anti-Freeze Test Kit, Good Idea
This a handy and fast way to test freeze point of boiler fluid. But at $1.00 per test strip,plus shipping, it is way too expensive. Most refrig. freezers operaste at of near ZERO degrees F. Pop a sample of the fluid to be tested into the freezer and check it after 5 or 10 minutes. Much cheeper and you don't have to remember where you last put your test strips.

Keep the 4 test kits not ordered...im sure that it must be easier and perhaps cheaper to go that way but I don't operate that way...I think SH is a great company

Accurate test strips
These are the same test strips the plumbing and heating guy used when he came and checked my antifreeze in my boiler. This is my second order. Easy to read and use and the chart is on the bottle.

Easy to use and understand
Very helpful for determining if your anti-freeze has enough concentration for coldness and it there is enough anti-corrosive capability left. Having polybutylene tubing in my radiant heating system allows oxygen in the system and it is imperative that the level of anti-corrosives are high enough to prevent rusting in my iron boiler and some of the fittings.

Yes the test kit tests for ph and also tests the freezing point of the anti freeze. My anti freeze has been in for 7 year and it was OK.
