Peace of mind tool.
Over torque and you risk cracking the flare, under torque and it leaks. The learning curve is to keep tightening until you hear the constant beep noise. I kept stopping at the intermittent beeps, but quickly realized I didn't quite get to specs. I use nylog blue on the flare and threads. I also tested the values against another torque wrench and it confirmed torque values.
