Just what I needed
This worked perfect for my Google nest thermostat 1st generation. I have line voltage with only two wires from the boiler. You will still need a seperate transformer.

The thing that i needed.
Installation was very straight-forward. I used three of these relays, powered by an external transformer to control some high-powered cove heaters. It's all triggered by a Google Nest thermostat. My client is very happy and the system works flawlessly. Supply House is The go-to vendor for time critical items. Came to my door quickly and in pristine condition. I'm very pleased with their service.

For use with a 24 volt transformer
This relay was used in conjunction with a similar relay that has a 24 volt transformer. It made wiring 240 volt baseboard heaters to a low voltage thermostat simple. Just follow the wiring diagrams.

Worked exactly as I hoped it would.
Full voltage thermostats are inherently inconsistent for controlling heaters. I needed to get better control of the baseboard heater circuits in my home so I used these relays with a low voltage electronic thermostat and now the temperature in my home remains at setpoint. These relays were an integral part of my design and work great.

Excellent! allowed much better control of my baseboard heat.
I am using several of these relays in my house to control oil filled electric baseboard heaters with Nest thermostat. I have 3 different zones (lower family room, upper living room, master bedroom) that I'm controlling with 3 separate Nest t-stats. Each Nest controls an RC840T-240 (relay with built in transformer to power the Nest) and one or more RC840 relays. I even split up my heaters in each zone to run on different stages of heat. For example, in my family room, I have 2 heaters operating on stage 1 and all 3 heaters operating on stage 2. The pictures show the relays controlling my family room heat, running on stage 1. They work great, and I am very glad I decided to use them. I have much better control of my heating now.

Baseboard heat controled by digital 24v thermostat. Hope it helps limit the Electric bill. The diagram did not show use of this product with the relay with the built in 24v transformer. But I got it to work

I would buy again
Replaced an antique Honeywell bi-metal 220v low voltage electric heat switch with 2 of these. It cleaned up a wiring mess and now no delay for heat. Taped a stand alone xfmr for the power.
