The close-off rating of Honeywell valves means that if there is more than a 10 psi difference between the ports of the valve, the valve will not close. (Example #1: inlet of 25 psi and an outlet of 15psi (25-15=10) the valve will close. Example #2: inlet of 25 psi outlet of 5 psi (25-5= 20) the valve will not close). Please do not confuse this with the system pressure or the body rating of the valve. The close-off rating is the difference between the supply pressure and the return pressure when the valve is closed.
