Only needed the power head.

The previous valve, that is no longer made, had the electrical port on the top, while this had the port on the bottom and was in the way of some other fittings. I only needed the power head not the whole valve, but the power head was not sold separately But a little more work and this power head is working fine.

Q: What does maximum close off pressure mean? My system will be fully pressurized at 35psi with a 50/50 glycol mix. Does the 10psi close off pressure of this unit pose any problems for me? Will the unit switch from A open to B open with out an issue when called upon? Thanks, Mark

The close-off rating of Honeywell valves means that if there is more than a 10 psi difference between the ports of the valve, the valve will not close. (Example #1: inlet of 25 psi and an outlet of 15psi (25-15=10) the valve will close. Example #2: inlet of 25 psi outlet of 5 psi (25-5= 20) the valve will not close). Please do not confuse this with the system pressure or the body rating of the valve. The close-off rating is the difference between the supply pressure and the return pressure when the valve is closed.

Q: Does this valve flow from ab to b when de-energized ,then from ab to a when energized?
