Yes, it is. Part 40003916-046 is the replacement actuator for the V8044A1010 zone valve.
Yes it is serviceable. 4 screws hold the actuator On the valve body. I have replaced the actuator And the insides of the valve body without Unsweating the valve body.
Yes this can be serviced. This valve was easy to order and easy to install.I was a little nervus about ordering this online but it was no problem.I had one question so i called the hepl line and they gave me the info that i needed.I am very happy with the parts and this company.
I have not had to replace the actuator yet, but I do have the instructions and wiring diagrams. It appears that the actuator comes off the base with 4 screws. An O-ring seals the point between the valve base and the actuator. Looks like a 15 minute job.
They are similar, but this is a 4-wire unit (i.e. it has an end switch).
According to the manufacturer, when power is on, port A and C (AB) will be open and port B will be closed. You can find more information on page 3 in this Installation/Wiring Diagram: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1287151028681/40544_PROD_FILE.pdf
