Provide operating control and automatic high limit protection for vapor heating systems with pressures up to 4 psi (8 kPa). All models have Microswitch snap switches to open or close a circuit on a pressure rise.

- Stainless steel diaphragm for use with liquids, air, noncombustible gases, ammonia, oxygen, distilled water and similar media.
- Provide SPDT switching.
- Clear plastic cover allows observation of the pressure settings.
- Mount using hexagonal fitting with 1/4 in. NPT internal threads for direct mounting to the 14026 (steel) or 50024585-001 (brass) Steam Trap (siphon loop).
- Ground Screw terminal.

Got flaky after 2 months
This worked great at first. Cut out pressure was finely adjustable and matched the reading off the low pressure gauge I installed next to it. 2 months later, the cut out pressure starts going up and up until it cuts out at more than double what I had set it to. The two gauges I had were in agreement with each other, so not a bad gauge, and the pigtail was clean.

Verify accuracy before installation
In theory, the vaporstats are much better than pressuretrols for low pressure applications (such as one pipe steam boiler systems). Two stars for that. We always test our controls out of the box before installation. With this vaporstat the main limit was almost spot on for accuracy, but the differential pressure was so far off it was unusable (we had it set at 16oz but it was cutting in (subtractive) at 4oz). Had to source a second unit and verified accuracy on both the main limit and differential before install.

Product failed after six weeks
I used this control as high pressure control for my steam boiler. Worked well for about six weeks and then stopped cutting off on high pressure (~12 oz). Disappointed that a $100+ control doesn't last longer than six weeks.

Does the job. Much more accurate than Pressuretrol
We replaced our pressuretrol with this vaporstat on our single-pipe steam boiler. Because the vaporstat is so much more accurate, we're able to reduce our steam pressure dramatically. The cut in and out are both pretty accurate.
