Hello, You should have a serious talk with your thermostat and tell it to stop acting up! In all reality, I have been in the HVAC field for 23 years and have heard it all. Your heating sys may be over sized and it's causing the thermostat to overshoot. Another concern I have may be improper t-stat location. Hopefully it's not located above a heat register. The thermostat will not auto place itself in the "on" or "off" mode. Good luck
no
Not sure why anyone would want to cool and heat at the same time. However, the answer is no. You cannot heat and cool at the same time. the sliding the button at the bottom of the unit states either "off" or "heat" or "cool". Not both.
if its a low voltage system yes
We couldn't get three of them to work with our radiant floors - kept cycling - I think it's sensor detects the radiant energy and switches it off. Also it has a very small (1/2 degree) sensitivity and with radiant floors you need to have at least a degree or 2 of float before the system comes back on. We switched to the Robert Shaw thermostats and they worked great with our system.
usually it cant be fixed and would have to be replaced
Adaptive Intelligent Recovery eliminates guesswork when setting your schedule. It allows the thermostat to “learn” how long your furnace and air conditioner take to reach the temperature you want.
First, set the system switch to cool. Make sure that the temperature is set lower than the indoor temperature. Wait 5 minutes for the system to respond.
For detailed instructions on battery replacement see pg 16 of the owner's manual: http://s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/Pro4000User.pdf
Press the "run" button to disable the hold feature and return the thermostat to the programed temperature settings.
Carefully pull at bottom of the thermostat face to remove the thermostat from the rear wall-plate mount.
