Great for 3 stage heat pump
Bought this for rental units so non programmable was a great plus. Fairly easy install with some extra research. Installation manual not very clear on single stage cool with 3 stage heat. Found that Aux/E hooks to old W1 and L hooks to old W2. Works great. Pay attention to model numbers when ordering!!! This is part of FocusPRO® TH5000 Series so I had to make very sure to get correct variation.

Q: how do you open the thermostat to put a battery in it.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe battery holder is a slot on the back of the thermostat on the top right side if you are looking at the unit. As shown on pages 4 and 10 of the Operating Manual, press the clip in and pull to remove holder. Batteries should be replaced once a year.
