You will need to perform advanced function 0670. Please see page 25 of the following manual for further instructions: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1249544874360/Honeywell_TH8110U1003_Operating_Manual
Yes, it has a lock-out feature but no passwords. Please check the following manual for programming instructions: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1249544874360/Honeywell_TH8110U1003_Operating_Manual.pdf
Batteries are optional (to provide backup power) if your thermostat was wired to run on AC power when installed. Install fresh batteries immediately when the LO BATT warning begins flashing. The warning flashes about 30 days before batteries are depleted. As a precaution, even if the warning does not appear, you should still replace batteries once a year, or before leaving home for more than a month.
I was told by a heating tech that the batteries are still needed for just backup for power loss..n should be changed when changing smoke detector batteries each yr.
Please scroll to Page 20 of this operating manual, as it explains how to replace the batteries to your thermostat. Here is the link to the document: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1249544874360/Honeywell_TH8110U1003_Operating_Manual.pdf .
Press “CANCEL” (or Sched) to cancel the “HOLD” and resume the program schedule.
This unit makes a low click when it turns on and off. According to the manufacturer, the different settings for the fan are: On: Fan is always on. Auto: Fan runs only when the heating or cooling system is on. Circ: Fan runs randomly, about 35% of the time, not counting any run time with the heating or cooling system. Please refer to page 7 of the Operating Manual for more information: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1249544874360/Honeywell_TH8110U1003_Operating_Manual.pdf
There is a click noise but my room is right across from the thermostat and i can hardly hear it through my door. The fan is either settable by auto, ie: only on when needed, Circ, ie: on when needed and 33% random, or just on 24-7.
It does make a click - not loud to me, but if it is in the same room you are sleeping in and you are indeed a light sleeper - it might bother you. I know the unit has several options for a separate control for the fan, but I assume that is only to run the fan for a few mintues after the heat or cool cycle has ended - but without looking I can;t say for sure.
There is a click when turning on but not loud enough to disturb my sleep.... I too consider myself a light sleeper. The fan part of it I don't know about. I have basebord heat and no blower or fan on my system.
No, the click is very soft.
I'm a light sleeper too, and the thermostat doesn't wake me. I have had several other thermostats and this is the quietest.
The thermostat does come with a wall plate for mounting and it measures 4 9/16 in. high x 6 in. wide.
I think you'll find this will cover it up and look great in the old ones place.
Yes, the wall plate is what you mount to the wall, and the Thermostat is removable and programmable off-line. It snaps back in/out. It is a fairly large Thermostat and I would suspect it would cover any hole that maybe left by your old unit.
There are terminals for an auxiliary system (for wire connections) on the back of the thermostat itself, not the backplate.
