The title and package states 1/2" but there were very large 7/8".

Rare size perhaps. Deducted a star because there shouldn't be any escutcheons that aren't stainless in my opinion.

Q: Does the 3/8" IPS Chrome Plated Steel Low Escutcheon (2-1/2" OD) SKU:1610002 works for 1/2'' CPVC pipe?

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse.com TeamThe inside diameter (ID) of this escutcheon is 3/8" IPS (iron pipe straight) not 1/2". the 1/2" pipe would be too big to fit in this item. You could potentially use SKU 1610004 for $0.30 found here: https://www.supplyhouse.com/Wal-rich-1610004-1-2-IPS-Chrome-Plated-Steel-Low-Escutcheon-2-1-2-OD-5263000-p

Ips mean iron pipe size.. So yes 1" ips will slip over 1" black pipe
