Description

Liberty Pumps K001054 Float Switch is a replacement float switch assembly used with selected Liberty submersible pumps to control automatic on/off operation based on liquid level in the sump or basin.

Key Features:
  • OEM Liberty Pumps replacement float switch assembly
  • Designed to provide automatic pump operation using a mechanical float and switch mechanism
  • Factory lead length and plug configuration matched to the targeted Liberty pump applications
  • Suitable for typical residential sump, effluent, or sewage basins within the pump's published ratings

Compatibility & Applications:
  • Intended for use with specific Liberty Pumps models that list K001054 as the replacement float switch in Liberty parts literature
  • Used when the original float switch no longer starts or stops the pump reliably
  • Suitable for basement sump pits, sewage basins, and effluent applications within the limits of the pump and switch ratings

Installation & Operation Notes:
  • Disconnect electrical power to the pump before servicing or replacing the float switch
  • Remove the pump from the basin if needed, then follow Liberty instructions for removing the old switch and routing the new cable
  • Mount or secure the new float switch in the same position and configuration as the original to maintain proper on/off levels
  • Ensure that the float moves freely without interference from piping, basin walls, or debris
  • Restore power and test several pump cycles to confirm proper automatic operation before returning the system to service

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  • Inspect the float, cable, and strain relief periodically for wear, abrasion, or buildup that could restrict movement
  • Replace the switch if the pump fails to start or stop automatically, or if intermittent operation is traced to the float assembly
  • Keep the basin as clear as practical of large debris that could interfere with float travel

Great Product - works perfect

Easy to install and fits perfectly. After install checked to see if pump comes on and worked as expected. Nice that even the fill height can be easily adjusted with allowing 4" instead of the standard 3" of cable to the float switch extended. This allows for more flushes before the pump comes one and actually empties it more when pumping. Thanks

Stopped working after 2 weeks

The float switch stopped working, so the basement was flooded. Uggh!

I would purchase this item again.

I had to replace the float switch on my Liberty sewage pump. They sold me exactly what I needed. Took only 15 minutes to switch out, Thanks SupplyHouse!

Exact replacement of the float switch I used last time.

Easy replacement. Works. Old same model worked for ~15 years. Failure came when ground water flooded the tank via mole tunnel. Not sure it was the floats fault.

Works With Liberty Pump 404

Confirmed this works with Liberty Pump 404, as long as the metal connector rod and clamp are in good shape. Float switch is the same size and wire secures in existing clamp. Customer service advised this would not work, they need to update this listing/product details.

Q: Do you have both pump up and pump down float switches?

This float switch (sku K001054) is a pump down float (i.e. turns pump on in its upward position, and turns off in down position). Liberty does also offer 'reverse' float switches that do the opposite as well.
