This is replacing the same model
Because the failed unit was the same model, I take away 1 star for life span, otherwise it works exactly as described. A lot of reviews describe the poor design of the check valve and that is is subject to failure. This is supported by the fact that the company offers a replacement check valve to replace the existing one when it fails. To address this shortcoming, I added an additional, more robust, check valve just above the the first one. Ref this part number here. ( 1/2" PVC In-Line Check Valve w/ SS Spring (Threaded)
SKU: PVCVT050 Brand: Bluefin ). this is a spring loaded check valve and I tested the pump to a head of about 4 feet and it pumped through this other check valve just fine.

Always a chance of a manufacturer defect
This pump failed and overflowed on the carpet shortly after installation. After a good slap with my hand, it pumped it's tank. Supply house replaced it, but not without a bit of pressure to do it promptly and not wait weeks for a return evaluation and approval

Have used these for years
Very reliable, my experience is that they last 5-10 years if your clean reservoir and underside periodically (note I haven't had very good results using tabs in place of a manual cleaning with white vinegar).
I always keep a spare on hand, normally the pump becomes noticeably louder as it starts to fail.

This little pump solved the problem of dealing with the condensate from my tankless water heater. Works great and is very quiet.

Solid dependable unit
This is a future "backup" replacement for the exact same model currently in use in our home. This has proven to be an excellent and dependable unit, but our old one is about 5 years old and I want to be ready with a new one whenever it finally gives out. They attach to the relay circuit for the A/C compressor and interrupt the power and shut down the system if the condensate tank overflows, thus preventing flooding.
