Pressure Test Kit for Mr. PEX Manifolds

Teflon tape was allowing a leak when initially installed, easy fix. Once corrected, worked great.

Super convenient assembly for use with the Bluefin metric manifolds. BUT the supplied gasket on the gauge adaptor is too small to make a seal. I borrowed the larger gasket off the included caps (used one of the manifold valves instead) to replace the wimpy gasket and then it held pressure. Helpful hint - use soapy water spray bottle to find your leaks.

I'm using this test kit to pressure test my pex radiant heat tubing and bluefin manifold to make sure I don't have any leaks prior to pouring concrete. Works great, just as expected. I was a little worried about ordering it due to some of the negative reviews, but when I received it and looked it over, seemed very well constructed, and worked very well.

You need a thick and a thin rubber gasket (as shown in the first product picture) to get the gauge to seal properly to a Bulldog/Bluefin SS manifold. I only received one thin gasket on the gauge. I was able to get the gauge to seal to one manifold with just the thin gasket after fiddling with it for quite a while. For the other manifold I had to take the thick gasket from the end cap. Once sealed it worked great for pressurizing and testing my system.

I purchased the 1500 sq/ft kit for that came with this test kit. The problem is that the threads are bsp not npt. They screw in about one thread and then gall up. I don't know why they would put this in the kit, it makes no sense.

Needed to test my hydronic heating system and wanted to pressurize during concrete pour found this kit fast shipping fit perfect worked great and now I own it for other projects.

The joints leak, and the air chuck didn't work right. I tried to remove and replace the air chuck, but it was cross threaded and wouldn't budge. I wasted more time trying to get this useless piece of junk to work than I did installing the tubing for my garage floor heat. DO NOT BUY THIS!

I saw the bent gauge face and was worried it would catch the needle but gave it the benefit of a doubt. But... I was wrong. Needle hung at 32 pounds. They are pouring concrete in about 36 hours so I'll have to buy a different one. Worked well up to 30 pounds.

Could never get it to seal properly. The seal would not seat properly on test body. I did not like the air valve dificult to use, but I csn understand it is universal. I ended up making my own pressure tester using FGH connector and off the shelf air compressor parts. Only wish I had the 0-100 psi wet/dry gauge. But quite useful did the trick.
