PEX-AL-PEX Loop Fitting Assemblies Options

Optional Installation Accessories:

Loop End Cap -
These allow you to cap off a loop of the manifold if it will not be used.

Actuators

  • Thermal Actuator for Bluefin Manifolds
If you want to use your manifold to heat multiple zones, you can purchase return side actuators that work along side thermostats. The actuators act as zone valves to allow you to use one manifold to control the temperature in different rooms independently.
The VA 80 adapter ring is also required when using an actuator with a Bluefin manifold, which you can find  here.

"I would buy this product again"

Using this for my infloor heat in a 40' X 50' area, with 1/2" pex tubing in a concrete floor. Each loop averages around 300'. Seems to be holding the supply temp at around 110-120 degrees. Installed on 1-3-13 and seems to be working OK so far. Did have some problems getting all the air out of the system and thought that it would be more automatic, as far as air release. Could have had more elaborate instructions come with the Manifold.

Manifold

The drain and bleeder valves are very difficult to use. The threads do not match any of the domestic threads we use in the USA so it makes it where you can not hook up a to a drain for easy flushing, other than that it is a good product. Because of this issue I would purchase another product that can be better utilized in the states

Great Buy

Compared to the cost of the fittings it replaces this thing is very economical. No leaks, very easy to install, although wrench access is limited sometimes. Only suggestion I would note is that it would be nice if it didn't spin around when you're trying to tighten fittings after its mounted and if there were a kit you could buy with the zone valves included for more value.

Buy Something Else

Compared or every other brand I have purchased from Supply House, these manifolds are truly junk. I have four 6-loop manifolds. On each manifold multiple pex compression fittings leaked unless they are torqued so high I fear the nut will split. I shredded multiple o-rings in the process. Now after three years using them, I find at least one loop leaking each season (and this is only 12 psi!!!!) I plan on replacing all of them.

A Superior Manifoold System at a Reasonable Price

After using the Uponor EP manifolds for all my previous radiant heat installations, I decided to try out this Bluefin system, and I'm glad I did. It's a better engineered, more robust unit at a much lower price point. Excellent!

Disapointed

These manifolds are not threaded for NPT hose adaptors so purging and filling require more fittings, or making a miss because a standard hose wont fit.

Hello NinjaDuck, The pressure test kit that we recommend for the Rifeng manifolds will be SKU:3610005. Thanks,

Q: I ordered this manifold, it came assembled with the flow gauges on top and the "white knobs" on the bottom , opposite of the picture, does it matter which is on top( dumb question maybe, but I read somewhere the return should be on top)? Also should the return be to the gauge side or the white knob side?

The supply must be on the red half of the manifold with the flow meters. The return needs to be the section with the white knobs. It does not matter which section is on the top and which is on the bottom. You can re-position these manually.

Q: On the picture of the manifolds it has the white "fittings" on the return side(top) I take it this is where the temperature actuators go. I already have temp sensors in my system so can these ports be plugged off or do I NEED the actuators? If they can be plugged off, what is to be used?

The actuators are not a necessity. They simply give an easy option for zoning the system. The white caps are used to open and close each loop manually. You would not need to plug them off.
