Great Price = You Get What You Pay For...
Hey, it is a water heater pan! I searched all the normal places and could not find a 20" diameter pan. I have seen plenty of larger ones that had a rubber / flexible / durable feel to them. When I found this one on Supply House, I figured it was made out of the same material (from China, of course). Wrong! It is a hard, thin plastic that feels like it would break easily if I put pressure to it. The PVC fitting is same as you would get at other big retailers - good quality. My fear, down the road, is the pan becoming brittle with age. Keep in mind, I'm putting in a new water heater at the same time - will it hold up in 10 years, if heater should leak? Of course, we don't know.
Great price, however, from Supply House. So, we weigh low price to get low quality. Supply House was very good at getting it shipped on time and in good order. I recommend Supply House but not necessarily the pan.

Good as a plant reservoir.
I used this product as a potted plant reservoir. I wouldn't use it as a hot water heater pan. It's too thin and the 1" plug is threaded weird. I bought 1" threaded caps from home depot to plug each hole and they don't fit. The thread from this product is different than a standard 1" threaded cap.
For my use though - it was cheaper than 20" saucers!
