Description

A sheathed electric heating element is totally immersed in a heat-transfer liquid and sealed in a heater-length copper tube. The large diameter reservoir maximizes the volume of heat storage fluid to prolong the thermal constant of the entire heater. Gentle heat keeps radiating even after the thermostat turns off because of the hydronic elements retention qualities.

GO-ANYWHERE DESIGN. The entire unit mounts flush to any wall and flat on any floor - wood, carpet or tile. The trim, three-inch thick functional design and low operating temperatures allow carpeting to be installed up to and around the baseboard.

QUALITY INSIDE AND OUT. Heavy-duty welded steel louvered grilles discourage insertion of foreign objects and direct heat outward into the room. Designer-style junction boxes are made of high-strength Lexan+ to resist scratches and wear marks. Built-in cut-off automatically shuts down the heater should any overheating occur.

toasty bathroom

I got it to supplement the heat in a cold Chicago master bathroom. We didn't want a noisy fan or a blower that would make you feel cold coming out of the shower. We got the 46"? one because we had high ceilings and two windows in this bathroom, but putting the thermostat on low or #1 is enough to make the bathoom, an adjacent changing room AND the master bedroom toasty. We probably could have gone with a smaller unit but we love it. We can also lower the nightime setting on the home thermostat and not heat the whole house throughout the night.

Good quality but has odor

Installation went pretty well without too much trouble. Build quality is okay, there were some issues internally, some metal had to be bent as they seem to be damaged in shipping as opposed to a manufacturing issue. The only issue that I've noticed is that now two weeks after they've been on, there is still a strong odor of chemicals coming from the units. I'm hoping that after a period of time that burns off, my wife has real issues with these kinds of smells so I would not recommend this for chemically sensitive people. I would have given a five star review if the smell is not so strong.

Exact replacement for a unit that quit.

I followed directions and discovered after hookjng it into the circuit with two other heaters that the wiring in the heater was not as shown in the diagram. This caused the thermostat to fail. After correcting the wiring and replacing the t-stat all is well.

Probably 2 more. Works as it should. Easy installation. Slightly shorter than my originals, by about 2 inches. Would like to have some kind of trim extension. Makes alot of heat!

It works, but....

I bought this to replace an existing hydronic that had gone bad. The first one I received was bent on the end and also had a group of damaged fins. SupplyHouse was extremely quick in replacing the unit at no charge to me. The second unit had one bent fin on each end of the line and some minor scratches in the paint on the front. I've installed it and it is working, just surprised that in a sealed box these things exist - seems like a QC issue at the manufacturer. To reiterate - SupplyHouse was great to deal with. Pics below are from first unit as it was when opened.

Great Service team with great products

The original unit came in damaged. With great customer support a new on was on its way the same day. These heaters work so much better than the equivalent length of another brand and the end cap thermostat is so much easier to use

That would depend on the fuel usage, efficiency, and fuel cost.

Q: I'm considering replacing an existing(failed)resistive baseboard heater with an electric hydronic unit.I would think that the existing thermostat should be able to control the replacement hydronic unit ( both old and new units rated at 1250 Watts @ 240 VAC)...Correct? Thanks
