This reusable heat blocking putty keeps piping and sensitive components cooler than traditional wet rag application during brazing, soldering, or welding. It is made from the same materials found in the heat shield of the space shuttle. Simply apply, remove, and reuse.

Complete Trust In This Heat Blocker
As good or better than any thermal blocker as I've ever used. I always completely trust it. No idea how it compares in price to any other products, as good as they may also be. I just won't take any chances. A lot of my work is for neighbors and area people. Some for fee, some pro Bono. They depend on me, and I depend on this. Even more so, I depend on Suoply House, be it as an Independent or a Contracted Tech.

This product keeps from burning the cabinet and insulation but does not do well at keeping the pipe temperature down.

Wet Rag is an awesome product
Use this all of the time, especially in areas that are tight or where much heat is needed to melt rods near critical areas. It works!

much better than the other stuff
I'm not exactly sure how well it works. The pipe it still hot on the other side just not as hot. But it stay together and is much easier to for than the other stuff I've tried. As the instructions say if it get a little dry just wet your hands and kneed it like dough it'll go back together.
