Simple Does the Job
I wanted something to be able to shut off water line to irrigation PVC pipe. Something to connect to my 3/4" copper pipe and not have to solder. Nervous soldering shut off valves. This worked smoothly and does not leak. Now can quickly cut off water without having to go back to the main shut off valve.

single solution for PEX/copper to PVC for irrigation
I've been re-plumbing a handful of older house I rent out and switching over the old galvanized plumbing for PEX. When setting up an irrigation valve box outside, this valve has worked great in transitioning to PVC and having a easy 1/4 turn shut off during the winter. There are a lot of skeptics on sharkbite fittings, but with correct prep, and insertion I have never had any issues. The fitting is also very visable/accessible, and located in a basement. With a 25 year warranty I figure I can change it out in 1 minute after 15-20 years as cheap insurance if I ever start worrying about it.
