This item allows you to transition from PVC to PEX. The PVC end of this product can not be used on PEX.
Note: Underground burial of SharkBite brass fittings requires that the fitting be wrapped using silicone wrap (25406A).
SharkBite® PVC Fittings connect PVC pipe (Sch. 40, 80 and 120) to Copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT pipe with no solder, clamps, unions or glue.

Worked perfectly
Replacing a 1" schedule 40 pvc water line with 1" Pex wrapped with Pex silicone wrap as it will be underground. We yuck and easy!
