It does as intended
I used this in my own house for a pot filler at the stove. As it was a retrofit, the backing to hold it in place was very awkward. I'm not sure how easy it would be in new construction. Some hints on backing install with the packaging would be helpful.

I will be using this again
I used this to install a hand shower for a jet tub. Hand spray has proprietary threaded fittings on both ends, so I could not replace the hand spray. Wal-Let took the place of the through deck hand spray.
I painted it to match the tile. Out of the package, there was no flashing from the casting, it was really well prepped. Surface was clean and oil free, a minor alcohol wipe got me ready for sanding and priming. Paint adhered well, surprised me.
This is a great product I look forward to using again for some hose bibs and an auto water filler for animals. So much more robust than an eared elbow.

Perfect for all or floor terminations
These are sturdy, well made, and easy to work with. I used these to mount a freestanding tub filler that didn't come with rough in hardware. Worked great!
