workmanship

The curve of the door did not match the curve of the end cap. Poor quality control I guess.

Perfect Fit

Replaced my old end cap. It seems to get rusty very fast and have the paint flake off. It is near the shower.

Remodeling after many years

Remodeling now after many years. Now that I have finally retired it's time to update. After taking old units off and painting them they just were not good enough. I purchased the 4 & 6 foot units and after receiving them with the fast shipping I could not believe the heavy construction. Today everything is being cut down. Not these. The only thing is the bracket may have to be fussed with if the clearance is tight behind the pipe and with a bend and straightening after in place nothing to it. PERFECT. They are outstanding units and I would recommend them to any one. Thanks for making a good product.

Q: Do the caps add length to the baseboard? For example, my area is 7 feet. Can I order a 7 ft baseboard with caps or do I get 6 feet with caps?

The end caps add from one and a half inch to about three inches to each end, so if using an end cap at each end. You may have to cut a few inches off the base board pieces, if your house is like mine the baseboard measurements did not come out a exact foot size (ex: six foot eight inches). I played with the measurements before ordering to avoid having to cut and some places I used two pieces and added a joint in the middle which gives you more adjustment.

yes it ads some length to the run. However you can cut a few inches off of the baseboard run to make it the length you need.

Caps do not add length, if they do it is only less than half an inch. They slide in behind and front and snap in. If your length is 7ft, you should buy the closest to 7ft. If for example, you buy 8ft, you can cut the metal with a hack saw to make a good fit and put the caps on. I had to do this in places where the length was in between what I could buy.
