The ONLY valve with a permanent type, patented gasket application. Supco's Bullet Piercing Valve utilizes the same type of gasket found under the head plate of most air conditioning compressors. When installed, the gasket actually compresses the copper tubing .020" creating a permanent, leakproof seal that will withstand any pressure and temperature for the life of the unit.

Everything Required to Install is in the Bag
One of my clients has a small beverage cooler and had slowly stopped cooling over the years. No port to check system pressures and if required, to add Freon. Due to the pandemic, it has been a slow year for non-emergency system repairs. When called, I checked to be sure I had extra valves on hand and I did not. Ordered these Bullet Piercing valves, they arrived very quickly and well packaged. I was surprised to see the Allen Wrench (Hex Key) included within the box. It made the job go quickly, client is happy and I did not have to search my tool bag for the correct size wrench. Highly recommend to have a couple of spare valves in the truck - which I now have a few spares.

Needed it
The quality is good but I expected it would have a schrader valve built into it like AC lines do on vehicles. Therefore the cap and the piercing screw are the only way to shut off any external flow.

Definitely purchase again
Put onto an older freezer and put Freon into system and in is working great with no leaks at the valve.

This is the only low side valve I ever use
In my opinion this is the best low side line tap valve on the market for the last 50 years! The 3 in one feature is great because you don't have to inventory 3 valves just one.

Excellent product, excellent price. Prep is quick and simple, and it bolts right onto copper tubing for an effective seal (in the short term at least.) Allowed easy access to the otherwise sealed refrigerant line for servicing.
Install this piercing valve near the END of a refrigerant pigtail, so the tubing can be crimped upstream, the valve removed, and the crimp brazed shut to hold in the refrigerant permanently.

I would definitely buy this product again. Customer was happy with the results. Saved them a lot of money and only took 1-1/2 to do the job for them. Works very well. Just pay attention and read the directions. Make sure you purge air out of your supply hose.
