Solid-State Hard Start Relay, Overload & Start Capacitor 1/3-1/2 HP, 13.3A RLA (115V)

The relay for the compressor for my refrigerator quit working. I priced a replacement which would have been over $65, which this 3 in 1 solid state was slightly under $20 or $26 with shipping and tax. Rewired the connector for the compressor and installed this product worked good.

The Supco RCO210 relay, overload and hard start was perfect for repairing a Kenmore wine cooler with bad PTC start component on LG compressor. Very easy to remove the old PTC and replace with and wire in the Supco RCO210. New life for this old wine cooler. Didn't cost much either.

In our industry this is known as the 3N1 a great product we use these a lot, they quickly get the machine up and running again. They work great for replacing bad start components, or adding start components to a compressor that has trouble starting. Let your customer know they may have a compressor failing. it's never a good sign when there's any kind of starting issue with a compressor.

3-n-1 has a major design flaw, The solid state relay stays hot way too long, The result is that you must wait a very long time before it cools off (15 minutes perhaps). This is not acceptable for many applications. Conversely, the original mechanical relays have no delay time. I purchased #1 then called "tech support" for help.Their solution was for me to buy another one. When I reported that #2 did not work either, I was told that my compressor was shot. No further help was offered. I now have 2 useless products. I like the concept of the product but performance is terrible. BTY, I have installed the old mechanical relay and the compressor works perfectly. PS I have never written a complaint about any product..never. But, this product is so disappointing that it should not be sold until the deficiency is resolved.
