The Taco 003 is designed for circulating hot or chilled fresh water in open or closed loop,lower flow applications.Flow characteristics are ideal for Domestic Hot Water Recirculation,Heat Recovery units,Water Source Heat Pumps,and Potable Water systems.The unique,replace-able cartridge contains all of the moving parts and allows for easy service instead of replacing theentire circulator.The compact,low power consumption design is ideal for high efficiency jobs.

Taco Circulator
The pump that was shipped did not come with the flanges as shown in the photo. Shipped with female NPT. Had to order additional part to complete assembly.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThis model (like all Taco 003 circulators) does not use flanges to connect to system piping. It has a 3/4" threaded connection.

Q: How warm/hot should the motor housing get while running room temperature water through it? Not under pressure. If it is almost too hot to hold, do I need a replacement cartridge?
