The variable speed delta T model pumps shift their performance automatically based on the supply and return temperature sensor readings. The 007 model works on or under the standard 007 pump curve. They do not have selectable speed modes.
It depends on what you need for a head. See the Taco pump head vs flow rate figure below for curve 5. The head on this pump won’t do if for instance the panels are mounted on the roof because it runs out of head at 10 feet which is likely not high enough for most roof mounted applications. If however the panels are ground mounted then you may only have a 3 or 4 foot head, so the pump will flow around 16 gallons per minute. I don’t know the size or quantity of your panels and can’t say what you’ll need for flow rate. The pump does come with the two thermocouples and can maintain a deadband for automatic start/stop applications. I have a 007 delta T that I was going to use but the head for my application was too much the 007 pump. Furthermore these circulator pumps are typically used in a pressurized system for heating systems around 12-15 psi. I wound up using a 0013 pump in an open reservoir closed loop system for a garage radiant floor heating application and that pump worked very nicely as it is 33 ft head capable vs 10 ft for the 007, however I need to get some pressure to make the electric heater turn on and the 007 wasn’t able to build enough pressure. If you think you can use the 007 delta T, I still have the one I was going to use for the radiant system that I can give you a deal on, it’s brand new from Pex Supply.
No, this pump does not include an internal flow check.
According to PexSupply product listings the 007 with delta-T is not offered with IFC.
Only if you order it with IFC.
Yes, the pump operates under the same pump curves and ratings.
That depends on the setting of the delta-t control.
Yes, you can install this pump on the return to the boiler.
Those circulators have the same type of cartridge.
Not only are the cartridges the same. The housings are the same, just bolt up the new motor to the existing housing. That was the question I asked Taco.
