Gaskets for water circ pump
Rubber gaskets worked great with the square cut o rings to make a secure and tight seal on this pump!
I would reccommend these with every install!

This Gasket is a problem solver
These do the job well when the square/round ones don't. No need to torque the flange bolts down much at all, and no leaks (running at around 15psi 200 degrees F.). Can be used multiple times without permanently distorting.
A set of these gaskets should be included with every set of flat-face pump flanges.

Q: Is red rubber flange gasket required in addition to round black rubber gasket on Taco circ 007-f5-71fc ? I have one rplacement circ with both - others have only black gasket.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYou can use either gasket, the color does not matter, it is the same type of product. When buying a new pump, the gaskets should come with it, but if you need replacement gaskets either color would work.

I have seen manufacturer's instruction booklets that say you should use both kinds together but I have never found that to be necessary. Either one should work by itself, however, I have had more consistent results with the full-face type of gasket, without having to worry about torquing the bolts down hard, probably because of its large surface area. I have always thought that the red rubber flange gasket should be included with every set of flat-face flanges.
