Uponor's lead-free brass transition fittings, valves and wall boxes carry the NSF us-pw-G marking for lead-free compliance to meet state lead-free legislation, and exceed the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act. Now you can combine lead-free brass fittings with Uponor's PEX tubing, EP offering and ProPEX Out-of-the-Wall Support System for a complete lead-free solution from the inlet to the faucet. The new lead-free offerings feature Uponor's unique ProPEX fitting system for strong, durable connections without the need for torches, glues, solvents or gauges.
Wirsbo 1" Copper Valved Manifolds (type L copper) feature 1/2" ProPEX outlets. A soldered valve connection allows for simple and easy isolation of individual loops. Sections can sweat together to extend the number of outlets using a standard 1" copper coupling. Do not exceed accepted flow rates for 1" nominal copper. Both 1" ends are copper pipe size and will require a copper end cap, coupling or transition fitting to make the proper system connection.

Nice Kit
I used one 12 port and one 8 port manifold for a complete redesign of my domestic water system. They are more expensive then other options but are totally bulletproof. I added three 3/4" valves to supply my frost-free exterior taps.

Ball valves leak---
I was disappointed in the poor seal in these ball valves. I couldn't pressure test without adding short tubing segments with caps. Several had slow bubbling leaks. I wrapped in wet rags and left them open for soldering, and the end valves aren't the problem, so I don;t think it was an over heating issue. I'm not a pro so could be user error, but it seemed like I did as much as possible to protect them. I usually solder 1/2 or 3/4 inch ball valves with no protection at all in other situations. They look great though!

Convenient, but had some leaks
I had several of these in my garage as part of an ongoing plumbing project I never finished. When it got below freezing, I had one of my cold water lines drip-leak, and two of my hot water lines had serious mineral deposits building up over the valves.
Even being Uponor, my repipers recommended removing these, as they are just a potential point-of-failure, at which time I showed them my setup and everything made sense.
They seem like a good idea, but with the leaks at that price point, it's a deal-breaker.

Leaky valves
Out of the box, 3/10 and 4/10 valves leak. What happened to quality control? Reading the other reviews and see similar issues. For the money I paid for these I would have expected better. Let's see what the warranty process is like…

Some ball valves leak
I have a multi-manifold system and about 20% of the ball valves leak. Enough to be annoying, but not enough to warrant replacement. Definitely a quality issue. Would be nice if the ball valves were threaded or replaceable....

Leaky valves
I bought these things and loved them. I recommended friends and family buy them. 5 years later Every one of us has leaky valves and are afraid to turn the ones that are not leaking. You are a quarter turn away from a huge headache with these. In hindsight I'd buy valveless manifolds and put replaceable threaded valves right away. These things are awful and now I gotva 20 valve manifold to cut in to fix it. 7 out of 20 are known leaks if you touch them. Im afraid to use the rest. I have about as many of these on the hot water side too. Uponor really screwed me.

Awesome product.
I used 5 of these to rebuild hot & cold distribution manifolds in my house. Linked with copper Propress fittings. All the Pex A fittings from here as well. Awesome manifolds.
Bought several to upgrade cold and hot water supply manifolds. Also, used Viega copper Propress from Supply House as well. Manifolds are solidly built and work flawlessly. Great help and service from everyone. Will always look here first for all future plumbing needs.

Q: water main inlet is 1" and immediately reduced to 3/4" then down to 1/2" after the water heater. I want to change from copper to pex. 3/4" coming out of water heater to a 1" manifold with 7, 1/2" ball valve outlets for HOT and 9, 1/2" ball outlets for COLD. Will I be able to maintain water pressure with an 8 or 10 outlet manifold or is it better to run 2, 3/4" lines for hot and 2 for cold running to 1" manifold with 4 or 5 outlets?

Q: I need a manifold with 13 outlets. I was thinking of sweating a ProPEX LF Brass Ball Valve 1/2" PEX x 1/2" Copper Adapter (SKU:LF4805050) on the end via a 1 x 1/2 copper reducer and a short length of 1/2" copper. That should work shouldn't it?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYes, you can use two of these inline with each other but they do not have the return. These manifolds are used mainly for plumbing applications so there is no return. All of our copper manifolds come with fittings on the end of them- we do not supply any bare ones.
