SupplyHouse is my new Go To supplier for plumbing needs. I needed 1.25" PropEx fittings and these folks have it all. Returns are easy too. I had purchased some incorrect parts. SupplyHouse tool them back no questions asked and refunded my purchase price.

Easy, but confused
The Uponor system is great, but the 3/8" rings are missing the little lip that holds the ring onto the end of the pipe. Some have slipped back on the pipe while expanding the end.

Q: The 3/8" propex rings I ordered do not fit over the 3/8" propex pipe I have unlike the 1/2" rings, which did fit over the 1/2" pipe. Do I need to pre-expand the 3/8" rings before putting them on the 3/8" pipe? If not, are there different instructions for installing 3/8" pipe?

Yes, but only with the tool too. Sku number Q6272000 The tool is corded, since I doubt any of the cordless tools would be able to expand the 2" pex.

Q: What is the difference between ones with a stop and ones with-out a stop, there arent any showing up for 1 1/4" expander rings without a stop. Do they make them, if so whats the difference.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe stop makes it easier to complete a ProPEX fitting. It forces the ring to go on the PEX-A tubing at the proper spot to make the fitting connection. Uponor is phasing out the rings without stops.

Q: Is there any difference between these and just cutting off a piece of the tube, expanding it, sliding it over the end and then expanding both of them together? I saw this done once on a home improvement show and they said it was an acceptable approach.
