- Venture Tape 1581A is a high temperature, high tensile strength aluminum foil coated with an extremely aggressive all weather solvent acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive.
- Conformable foil applies easily to both fibrous and sheet metal ducts on flat and irregular surfaces.
- Venture Tape 1581A excels in demanding temperature and humidity applications and provides superior performance and durability over a wide range of environmental conditions.
- Primarily used for sealing fiberglass ductboard and flexduct. May also be used on metal connections, flexible duct, flexible duct connections to ductboard, and metal duct.
- 180 feet (60 yards) long.

Sticky Tape
I bought a couple of rolls of this foil tape to seal up the supply and return ducts in my new-to-me house (built in 1983). I've only used several dozen feet now, but this tape works as intended. The adhesive is strong, the liner pulls off easily, and the foil is robust. I put this on during the cooling season to cold supply ductwork and had no issues. It's been up for several months now with no problems.

Good tape… if you don't mind the writing on it
I like the thickness and the adhesive seems strong. I assumed the red writing was on the wrapper but… is on the whole roll of tape, I use this mostly for dryer ducts which are sometimes exposed inside the living space. I guess I will will save the end of my roll of plain silver tape for visible installations.

This is very good quality.
Price is a little high although good isn't cheap unless you are looking for advice.
Stick it, it stays , it works and forget it.

Drastic price jump from last year
Pros: Excellent tape. Superior adhesion in any weather. Definitely heavy duty thickness. Nice size roll.
Cons: Off-gas odor when stripping from backing smells.......dangerous? Pretty sure it won't hurt us, just smells like it will.
