Better than box stores
I've used the box store stub out and these are nice. They are shorter but in my opinion that's better bc they don't need to stick out far

Indispenable for PEX plumbing
Makes a solid thru-floor installation for PEX plumbing. Great for toilet feeds, just drop a chrome finishing sleeve over it.
To make this item a little more robust, I recommend fluxing and soldering the joint between the mounting flange and the stub out.
Of course, you would normally mount the flange on the bottom of the floor or back of wall. In one of my applications, the mounting flange had to be on top of the floor and I had to trim the mounting flange a bit so the escutcheon would hide it.

Yes. They work on most brands of half inch PEX. Including both O2 Barrier tubing and non O2 Barrier Tubing.
