I would not buy this brand press union again.
While installing my water softener system with an inline filter, I added propress unions on either side of the pre filter. One union had a "weep" on the nut side of the union. Could not get it to stop no matter what I tried. Replaced it with another propress union and that weeped in the same spot. Took a chance and added a thin layer of liquid pipe thread Teflon to the two mating surfaces and retightened. The leak has not returned, will buy the webstone unions from now on, they use a rubber washer which is a consistently better seal.
