Supply House always comes through!

ViegaPex Ball Valves
I can't put into words how the Pex system has changed plumbing. Especially the Pex Ball Valves, no more fighting water problems. I only use ViegaPex fittings. To me they have, by far the best quality fittings, for pex piping.

Q: Can these valves be used with Pex Ring system? I need some smaller 1/2 pex vavles for an RV system but the other 1/2 ball valve handles are much to large.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe 1/2" connections on these valves are only compatible with Viega's PEX Press fitting method. They are not compatible with the crimp, clamp, or expansion methods.

I have used these with FostaPex Rigid press tool, but also with plane pex tubing with a Zurn ring press system. 1/2" 1/4 turns should all be compatible in diameter speaking. What I have found is the Zurn ring system only crimps about 3/8" as opposed to the Rigid FostaPex rings which has about a full 1/2" or more of pressing over the entire ring Which on this valve would end up pressing more pex tubing against the valve ends. I do not have any experience with the Pex ring system, however. Hope this helps. -Matthew Varley
