It does not matter. The supply line does not have to come from above.
The manabloc comes with special thread sizing on the supply connections. This is a feature of the manabloc in which the supply adapters are needed in order to connect the manabloc to the supply lines. This package comes with the 3/4" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter. Regular copper fittings will not thread properly into the manabloc, so you would need the supply adapter. So in answer to your question, there isn't a set size the thread on the manabloc has. You simply need to purchase the supply adapters that will thread into the manabloc on one end, and then the other side of the fitting will connect to the supply line.
