Series 2-M2 Duo-Cloz Manual Washing Machine Shutoff Valves are used in washing machine applications to manually control water flow and pressure from the hot and cold water supply piping to the flexible hoses feeding a washing machine.
It prevents the washing machine hoses from bursting preventing water damage in the home. It consists of a brass body construction, and a single DuoCloz lever to control shutoff of both hot and cold water supplies.

Great to easily REPAIR a leaking unit.
Had an M2 on an older house, keaking at lever. Pulled the front control unit off new valve, removed old front from leaking valve. Cleaned it all up eith a fine wire brush. Installed new front, tightened screws and presto! All done in 5 minutes. Being brass there was no corrosion of older base casting. One tip I will give you is when doing this it is very easy to have the O-rings at the end of the valve face fall off... this will cause a leak (yup happened to me). Make doubly sure you have your orings seated on the old base casting first. Excellent USA made quality product.

Leaked from very start
Replaced valve was in service 20+ years. It was a 2-M2 also, was dripping at handle stem. New valve dripped out hot water side, about 3 drips a minute. I can live with that, installed new hoses and washers. Must be a bad casting because it leaked through the threads and then on the floor. Since I could not leave the house without water I purchased an other 2-M2 from the local hardware store. Installed it and no leak. My wife all ways says if there is a defective part I am the guy who will get it.

My 33 year old washing machine water supply and shut-off valve began leaking.
Ordered this quality part from Supply House. Delivered when promised! My plumber, who was completing a few jobs at my house installed it. Took him 10 minutes in all, including dealing with hoses. He told me this was a "real quality part". Probably will last another 30 years.

you're hot and cold water line to the top and one shot off valve controls both to your washing machine . Just connect your hot and cold water hoses from your washing machine

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffA repair kit (part 0862000) is available for this unit. It includes a side plug o-ring, four teflon discs, two spindle o-rings, two adapter o-rings, and two adapter screw o-rings. The kit likely comes with at least some instructions to assist with the replacement procedure.

These allow for the unit to be disassembled before soldering. You'll want to remove the rubber O-rings from the metal parts before you heat the fittings for soldering. After everything cools off, reinstall the O-rings and rejoin the valve parts together to complete the installation.
