It consists of Lead Free bronze body construction (1/4 to 2 in.) or Lead Free FDA approved epoxy coated cast iron (2 1/2 to 3 in.), two, in-line independent check valves, replaceable check seats with an intermediate relief valve, and ball valve test cocks. Series LF009 is ideal for protection of health hazard cross-connections or for containment at the service line entrance. Check with local water authorities for installation requirements.

Q: Is there a law or guideline issued by some government authority that regulates the sale of RPZ valves that or not lead free. Was there every a warning issued to wholesalers of RPZ valves, that is intend to prevent the sale of lead free vs non lead free RPZ valves to the public.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe lead free requirements changed in 2014, when new national standards were adopted. We list a warning on products that could be used in potable applications but do not meet the new standard. Watts has more information listed here on there website : http://www.watts.com/LeadFree
