Heat does not turn on with multiple call for gas. Unpredictable. Several plumbers came but could not figure what went wrong with Weil McLain gas burner. Got hint by google, and read what others did. Figured to try replacing the sensor/pilot controller unit. Searched and bought from SupplyHouse. Arrived in 3 days, easy self installed in 5 minutes, then it start working again.

We've been dealing with the boiler only lighting intermittently for over a year now. It would buzz and not light, or it would light and only heat up halfway until the problem resurfaced. Had to turn it on/off multiple times to get it to fix itself. Multiple service techs out to attempt to fix the problem, they'd clean it out, unplug/reattach the wires, do whatever else they could, only to have the problem crop up again a day or two later. Did some research and figured I'd give this a try. Installed the new control module, it's worked perfectly ever since.

This fixed my intermittent problem with boiler failing to start. I had replaced the igniter first but that was not the problem. I am no expert but I think if everything goes on and after 30 seconds you here the boiler try to light but fail- I am pretty sure this is the problem. It is also described well in the owners manual.

I had an intermittent bad ground or open circuit that was dropping out the firing circuit. This new and updated ignition control unit solved the problem.
