I bought it to replace a leaky one
It is part of a solar hot water control system. I needed to replace the original gauge which had become leaky. This one has a longer stem in the back, so that it sticks out of the front face. Also I have to increase the size of the hole in the metal face, because this gauge is slightly wider in diameter than the original one. If I had known this before the purchase, I would have gone with just a pressure sensor and a digital LCD display... The gauge itself is probaby ok, and will suit its purpose.

Installation was a breeze. Seemed to have some moisture within the gauge that went away after a couple of days. With a good working gauge I now know that my triple Aquastat is working properly saving me some cash. This place ships fast.

poor quality
the pressure gauge is will not go below 20 psi, which is pointless in my situation where I need only 12 psi. I think the temp. gauge is fine though.

Verified Reply- PexSupply Staff510-218-097 is the pressure temp gauge for the EGH 85-125 and yes, it should fit the PCG-5 Boiler.

Hi, I purchased the same for my Weil McLain HE2. While it was NOT an OEM part (to my surprise), it fit my boiler perfectly and has operated without issue for about 2 years. The neck/ stem on the gauge was about an inch or so longer than the original part. This has had no impact on the operation of the replacement part. I believe this will work fine on most other Weil McLain boilers.

Dave, My PCG-5 furnace requires the short version as originally supplied but I ordered the longer version (really by mistake) and it works just fine. It just sticks out a little further. Make sure that you have enough room (about 3.5 ins.) to install it. Fred Budelman

Q: How do you read the pressure portion? What's the little red arrow and what is the black one?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe black arrow notes the pressure reading. The red arrow can be turned anywhere on the dial by the user as a reference point for temperature or pressure.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYou should check to make sure that the gauge is not leaking from where it is threaded into the boiler/pipe. If this is the case, you may need to tighten it. If that is not the case, then you will need to replace the unit.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe tapping size of the P-468 is 1/4". This pressure-temperature gauge has 1/4" threads and would screw right in. So yes this gaue would work on the P-468.
