Carrier Single Stage HSI Furnace Control Kit

This control board covers a variety of models and is a better design than the originals. The manual and wiring diagrams are high quality color prints. There is no need to ensure that you remember how the old board was wired because the diagrams are comprehensive. There are dip switches that allow adjustability for things like how long the fan stays on after a heat cycle or how long the delay is for the fan after the flame ignites. The price for this new board is also cheaper than buying a used original equipment board so this is clearly the best option. The only downside is the LED indicator wasn't in the same place as my old board so the cover needs to be removed in order to determine what the fault code is.

Purchased this to replace my Carrier furnace board HK42FZ009. It was a simple install. Everything worked fine except for the blower delay. The blower should continue to run for a configurable time after the flame ends. When the thermostat reached temperature, the gas terminated as expected, but it also terminated the blower motor. Troubleshoot with White-Rodgers tech support and they decided that the new board was bad and sent me back to SupplyHouse. SupplyHouse was great and warrantied the board and quickly sent me a new board. The new board behaved exactly the same as the first board. After working extensively with White-Rodgers tech support we could not find a cause. I eventually ordered a new relay and replaced it on my original Carrier board and returned to using my original board. The folks at SupplyHouse were great to work with as were the tech support at White-Rodgers and I will recommend both companies to others. However, this board did not fully work correctly as a replacement for my board HK42FZ009.
