valve step leaked on both units I received
Perhaps I got defective parts? I pressurized with air to 55psi, and couldn't hold pressure for long enough. I found the valve stem, at the button that enabled air in/out, leaks, and having the cap on didn't help. On the other unit, the valve step leaks horrifically. I'm confused by this, as I never have a problem with, for example, bicycle tire valve stems. Maybe I got unlucky, but both my units have the problem, which seems crazy but definitely makes me unhappy.

Held Pressure
Used pipe dope and teflon tape to screw to female pex adapter. Pressure held at 55 psi on a radiator loop for a week with no leaks from the gauge.

Handle with care
I used it to pressure test the new gas line in our house and it worked great. However, be careful not to bang the gauge head against anything and avoid grabbing the gauge head. It bends easily and can cause the needle to foul the faceplate once bent. There is no way to bend it back without opening the gauge head.
