- Cutter jaw designed to produce clean, square cuts suitable for ProPEX and other PEX connections
Compatibility & Applications:
- Intended for use with Uponor AquaPEX, hePEX, and other compatible PEX and PEX-AL-PEX tubing up to 1"
- Suitable for residential and light commercial plumbing, radiant heating, hydronic distribution, and related PEX applications
- Used wherever straight, burr-free cuts on PEX tubing are required before making fittings or manifold connections
Installation & Operation Notes:
- Mark the desired cut length on the PEX tubing before cutting
- Position the tubing fully into the cutter jaw at the marked location, then squeeze the handles smoothly to complete the cut
- Verify that the cut end is straight and free of deformities before inserting into fittings or expansion heads
- Follow Uponor system installation guidelines for minimum insertion depth, expansion procedure, and support of cut tubing
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Inspect the cutting edge periodically and replace the tool if cuts become rough, crushed, or out of square
- Keep the cutter clean and free of jobsite debris to maintain smooth operation
- Avoid using the cutter on metallic pipe or materials outside its rated use to prevent damage to the cutting edge

Just what the doctor ordered
The "tools required list" for my radiant heat package said use a hacksaw to cut the pex. Tried that idea once before deciding this little tubing cutter was worth its weight in gold. I was initially concerned about the plastic construction, but it's plenty strong enough to handle cutting pex.

Ok for the price
Works good most of the time, but sometimes it is hard to make the cut straight as the opening allows the tube to be up to 1", so when cutting 1/2" tube there is a lot of play.

I'm sure there are other good tools out there, but this one makes it easy to get a straight cut on your pex.

Pricey But Man Is It Worth It
I have a couple of other tubing/PVC cutters, but they leave a jagged edge sometimes. After reading reviews I splurged on this cutter from Uponor. It cuts like butter and the cuts are at 90 degrees. Well worth it, it turns out. I will 'hide' these so they don't walk off...

I Know This Is Expensive
I know this is more expensive than other PEX cutters, but this is night and day cleaner cutting than even my ratcheting cutter. Clean square cuts with zero burs. This is a 'back-pocket tool' for sure.

Surprisingly good
I bought this for Pex A and when I got it I wasn't sure if it would be able to handle it. I tried a cut and it was like butter. I'm doing a small job at home and I think it'll work well. It is plastic so I'm not sure about commercial use over the long haul though.

Works better than milwaukee
I bought both this and the milwaukee version and while this one is fatter it simply works well. The milwaukee wants to bend the pipe before cutting which makes the end result take longer and less consistent

Hi, I guess you can use a pipe cutter, hack saw or whatever you like. However nothing will be cleaner or faster than this tool or similar tool. One snip and it's done. Good luck!
